SEND space at Town House is to be revamped thanks to a major donation from Sutton Coldfield Charitable Trust.
Broadleaf Partnership Trust applied to the SCCT for support in renovating the Reflection Room, with new decoration, lighting, furniture, and specialist SEN resources all planned.
There will also be a specially designed mural, all with the aim of creating a calming and safe environment for those who need it.
Headteacher Mrs Bromley says it’ll make a lasting impact for those who use it:
“We want to give our learners and staff the best facilities possible to embrace learning and to feel comfortable in their surroundings. Already this year we have seen new play facilities at Holland House alongside the new flower bed and reception area. At Town we have already renovated the old computer suite into a dedicated teaching space, and work is ongoing on our new look reception.
Our task is to keep going as we get closer towards officially joining our schools together and look forward to a bright future as Town House Primary.”
Director of Finance at Broadleaf, Dave Worledge, says the Trust are especially pleased to have once again been granted funding to help our schools:
“We’re delighted to have secured funding for such an important project that we hope will make a difference to learners and staff at Town House. Having secured SCCT funding to deliver the new playground facilities at Holland House this year, it’s very pleasing they have agreed to further support our schools and we hope work can begin soon on transforming the space.”
