Joint Headteachers letter to prevent traffic incidents

The Headteachers of Holland House, Town House and Plantsbrook schools have written a joint letter to parents to highlight road safety in the surrounding areas.

Dear parents and carers

As you may be aware, there has been an alarming rise in road traffic incidents near to our schools in the past weeks.

The safety and security of our learners and community is always of paramount importance to us, which is why we are joining together to ask for your help and support to spread the message to as many people as possible to please drive safely to prevent any further accidents.

We know how busy the surrounding roads can be at peak times, so it is vitally important not to obstruct the highway by attempting to drop off on the approach to Holland House, stopping on the zig zags outside of Town House, or parking and waiting on double yellow lines on South Parade near to Plantsbrook.

Moving forward, we will be engaging in discussions with the local authority as to what measures can be implemented to improve safety outside of our schools, and holding assemblies to reiterate messages about crossing roads safely to our students.

As ever, we appreciate your ongoing support.
