Letter from the Headteacher – 05/09/25

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope this letter finds you and your families well as we settle into the new academic year. I am delighted to introduce myself as Mrs Bromley, your new Head Teacher at Holland House and Town House. I joined your wonderful school community this week, and I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to lead such a vibrant and nurturing environment. I recognise that I have some big shoes to fill following the wonderfully successful tenure of Mrs Smith, and I am committed to building upon the strong foundations she has established at these fantastic schools.

In 14 years as a head I have been guided by one core principle: children always come first. This belief underpins every decision I make and every initiative I support. My passion lies in seeing all children thrive and reach their full potential—something that aligns perfectly with our schools’ vision of nurturing each child’s unique strengths and fostering a lifelong love of learning.

This first week has been truly inspiring as I’ve begun getting to know the school community. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting many of our amazing pupils, and I’ve been incredibly impressed by their warm welcome and exceptional manners. I’ve been learning my way around the schools, speaking with staff, pupils, and families, and soaking up the positive atmosphere across both sites. There are many names to learn and relationships to build, but I already feel a great sense of pride in what I’ve seen so far. The potential in every child I’ve met fills me with excitement for the year ahead.

As we journey through this academic year together, please be assured of my full commitment to your children. I will be supporting every challenge they may face—working together with staff and families to overcome obstacles. We will celebrate every success along the way, no matter how small, and maintain high expectations while providing the nurturing support each child needs. I also want to be a visible and accessible leader—you’ll often see me at drop-off and pick-up times, and I welcome the opportunity to get to know you.

I believe strongly in the importance of a strong partnership between home and school. Communication is essential in achieving the best outcomes for our children. I operate an open-door policy, and you are welcome to speak to me informally during the school day. For longer or more private conversations, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office to arrange a meeting. Your input is incredibly valuable, and I look forward to working together in support of your child’s journey.

I am truly excited to work with our dedicated team of teachers and support staff as we continue to deliver the rich and varied curriculum that Holland House and Town House is known for. Together, we will ensure that every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed. I look forward to meeting you around school and at events throughout the year as we continue to grow our school community. Thank you for the warm welcome I have already received—I am truly excited about the journey ahead.

Yours sincerely,
Madeleine Bromley
